CRIME PREVENTION COUNCIL DISCUSS LEISURE TIME At the monthly meeting of the Council for Crime Prevention a number of moves were initiated which have for their purpsoe increased in-creased leisure time activities. The committee of Guidance of Youth are to investigate the advisability ad-visability of initiating a Camp-fire Camp-fire Girls organization. The committee on Leisure Time are going to take the necessary nec-essary steps to secure a social leader to be paid for out of FERA funds. This committee is also starting a campaign to secure se-cure funds for creating a recreational recrea-tional center in St. George. The committee on Training Teachers i n Service outlining some definite reading and group study material with the thought ' in mind of conducting a definite, regular program in Character Education. The next meeting will be held February 11, at' 7:30 p.m. in the office of the Washington County' School board. This council coun-cil is organized for the benefit of the community so anyone with problems or suggestions are welcome wel-come to attend. |
