Show LA VERKIN Mth. Tliora Gubler has been vory ill. She is much better now hut is Mtlll under tlie doctor's doc-tor's care. Horn, a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Hardy Segler on December 30. Mrs. Seller's mother, Mrs. Kula GIfTord of Mt. Carmel Is vi.siting at the Segler home. A large crowd attended the dance given here on New Years eve, and a good time was had l.v .'ill by all. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Thompson Thomp-son and baby of Cedar City spent New Years day here visiting with Mr. Thompson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Thompson. After dancing in the- La Ver-kin Ver-kin Ward hall until one o'clock New Years Eve, the followng groups, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Renroid, Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Sanders, Mrs. Irene Day, Mrs. LaVell lUnton, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Button, Mrs. Helen Glendon and Russell Meeker went to the home of Mrs. Nellie Stout where a lovely buffet luncheon was served. serv-ed. Later the party continued at the home of Mr. arid Mrs. Grant Button. From there the pmly went to Mrs. LaVell Hin-ton's Hin-ton's where a six o'clock break-f.isi break-f.isi was served. Miss Devola Ford of Kanab is !u r.x visiting with relatives and friends. P. H. W. club met at the home of Mrs. Lydia Button on January 4th at 3 p.m. Presi- dent Minnie Wilson presided. The following officers were elected: Mary A. Gubler, president; Cleone Iverson, first counsellor; and Ellen Woodbury, secretary; Norma Sanders and Ruth Neilson as program committee.
