Henry Covington of Cane Beds has moved to his new farm at Grafton. Mrs. Stephen Jennings entertained enter-tained at a party Sunday in honor hon-or of her sister. Miss Catherine Ward of Salt Lake City. Squire Crawford and Ronald Christensen of Springdale were speakers at sacrament meeting Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh L. Johnson John-son mqde a trip to St. George last week. Heber Hirschi, Joseph Fames and Daniel Hirschi spent Monday Mon-day in St. George. Alton Jones has purchased a building site from Mrs. David Dennett and has started erection erec-tion of a new home. Mrs. James Jennings, Jr., who has been ill for several weeks, is reported to be improving. Floyd and Wendell DeMille and Jim Hayden spent the week end at home from the plains where they are digging a well. Dewey Hirschi made a trip to Hurricane Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Firman Bruner have returned to their home in Cedar City after visiting for two weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alma DeMille. Mr. and Mrs. Guy DeMjlle spent Saturday in Cedar City. Miss Carol Cox spent Sunday here from Springdale where she is employed. Allen Humphries and Jack Spendlove of Hurricane spent Sunday here. Fourteen members of the Ono club enjoyed a waffle supper at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Afton Ballard Saturday evening. Miss Catherine Ward was a special guest of the club. Mrs. Philetus Jones has been quite ill for the past w-eek. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lawrence of Cedar City are here visiting relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Worthen have returned from Minersville where Mr .Worthen taught school the past term. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Stout and family were visiting here Sunday. David Ballard spent part of last week in Hurricane on business. busi-ness. Arch and Elwin Ballard left Tuesday to spend two weeks at Cane Beds, i Leo and George Hirschi and ' James Jennings, Jr., left this morning for the Big Plains. |
