Show TOQUERVILLE JOQUERVILLE, April 2 5. This town has completed clean-up activities and much has been accomplished ac-complished in the imnrovement. of the sanitary conditions and beautification. There have been about thirty pecan trees plant, ed along the sidewalks. More than $500 has been spent to gravel the west street and the bridge "approaches. Lawns and fences are being improved and the people are showing a splendid splen-did spirit of cooperation. Miss Vervene Naegle entertained enter-tained Friday night at her home in honor of Miss Miriam Thurston Thurs-ton who will leave Monday for her home at Salt Lake. Joe Simmons entertained at a party Wednesday evening. Quite a number from here attended at-tended the district meet of the M. I. A. in St. George Saturday. Miss Addie Savage spent Sunday Sun-day visiting here. Mrs. Joe Simmons entertained at a luncheon Thursday afternoon. after-noon. A group of friends surprised Mrs. Gerald Seegmiller at a party Wednesda y evening, the occasion being her birthday. Mrs. Lula Kleinman returned from Salt Lake City Wednesday after a two week's visit there. |
