Show CEMETERY CLEANUP SET FOR SATURDAY Saturday, April 30, has been proclaimed by the mayor as a holiday in St. George, and on that day all men and boys available are requested by the American Legion to assist in the cleanup and beautification of the city cemetery. Work will start at S o'clock, and at noon a lunch will be served to the workers by the Auxiliary of the Legion. Business houses have agreed to remain closed until 1 p. m. Friday, the Auxiliary will have on sale poppies :n- the aid of disabled veterans. Over six hundred hun-dred have been bought this year by the local unit. As has been customary in the, past they will be sold for at least 10 cents each, and as much more as may be given. Memorial services- will be held at the cemetery ft 5 p. m. and the following program given: Prayer, George E. Miles. Singing, under the direction of Jos. Will. McAllister. Talk, Jos. S. Snow. Song, Dilworth M. Snow. A tribute to the past American Ameri-can leaders will be given by Mrs. Jos. W. Prince. Instrumental music by E. J. Bleak. Tribute to our soldier dead, Mathew M. Bentley. Singing, directed by Mrs. Mae A. Pace. Benediction, Ge .rge E. Miles. Taps, E. J. B:eak. |
