Show I I ! i t v SCOUT XOTES Council Executive Here Executive A. Golden Kilburn of Zion Park Council B. S. A. made his regular monthly visit to this district the latter part of last week. Many of the district officers are members of the faculty of the different schools and owing to the closing of schools oeupying these very closely a full meeting could not be had. Mr. Kilburn Kil-burn therefore accompanied the scouts on the hike to the Narrows of the Virgin, meeting Sunday ;with the camping committee to help in the arrangements ar-rangements for the fathers' and sous' outing in July. At the Court of Honor meeting Saturday Sat-urday evening, May 9, the following named, boys were advanced in the ranks of scouting: El wood Romney of Troop 3, St. George, became a first class scout; Andrew Pace and Allan Jarvis of Troop 1, and Mar McGregor and Henry J. Nicholes of Troop 4, St. George, became second class scouts. The next Court of Honor meeting will be held in the College building Saturday evening, June 13. Parents and friends of the scouts are very' cordially invited to attend the examinations. exam-inations. An intimate knowledge of scouting will promote its progress and thereby the citizenship of our boys. |
