Show Wilbur Called In Oil Case New York, The Pan-American Petroleum Pe-troleum and Transport company issued is-sued a statement asserting that Federal Fed-eral Judge McCormick at Los Angel-er, Angel-er, Cal., had issued a special sub pcena calling Curtis D. Wilbur, sec-rotary sec-rotary of the navy, to Los Angeles I for the opening on October 20 of the government's suit whereby it seeks to cancel the Doheny oil leases. "Secretary "Sec-retary Wilbur is subpoenaed as a witness for the defense," the statement state-ment said, "and is required to submit sub-mit to the court certain files of the navy department, on which it is understood un-derstood the Pan-American Petroleum Petrole-um company relies to demonstrate the gTeat important to the national defense of the accumulation of fuel oil on the Pacific coast and the construction con-struction of adequate storage and 'ighting facilities at Hawaii." |
