Leland Hafen returned home Friday Fri-day from Provo where he has been attending at-tending summer school. Clawson Burgess left Tuesday for his home at Pine Valley after spending spend-ing a few days here visiting. Miss Olive Walker returned Saturday Satur-day from Cedar City, where she spent about two weeks with relatives. Mrs. Merle Tolton arrived Saturday from Salt Lake City to spend several days visiting her father, William Gardner. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Dennett arrived Saturday from Provo where they have been attending summer school at the B. Y. U. Miss Jean Prisbrey entertained the E. A. T. club at a melon supper at her home Saturday night. A jolly time was had. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Thompson and family returned Monday from Los Angeles, Cal., where they spent a six weeks vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Smith and son Raymond of Malad, Idaho, arrived ar-rived here Saturday to visit Mrs. Smith's father, Chas. Seegmiller, Sr. John H. Bowler was here from Veyo Sunday visiting his son, Richard and wife and their new baby girl. Mr. Bowler has just made a sale of his cattle. Miss Elizabeth Snow of Pine Valley was a visitor here the fore part of the week en route home from Provo where she has been attending summer sum-mer school. Henry Hunt was here from Gunlock Sunday to visit his daughter and his first grandchild, a girl, born to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bowler in this city on the 15th inst. In the list of school teachers, as furnished to us, in our last issue an error was made in Vera Seegmiller being shown as a teacher at Spring-dale. Spring-dale. She should be shown teaching at La Verkin. Cashier Kumen D. Williams of the Dixie Stockgrowers bank returned Sunday from Kanarra mountain where he spent his vacation. His wife and children came with him intending in-tending to spend about a week here before returning to the mountain. Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Taylor and P. G. Taylor arrived Aug. 17, from San Franscisco. Cal.. to spend about two weeks here with relatives. They were visitors at Zion park the fore part of the week accompanied by their parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. O. S. Taylor. Sr., of this city. Charles H. Miles, wife 'and son Burke arrived here Sunday to visit Mr. Miles' brother. Bishop F. G. Miles. They are also making a round of the parks. It is many years since ; Mr. Miles was here and he says he can see a big change in the way of ! substantial improvements. ! Lake City, whore they spent about ; two weeks. Leonard had been there to receive treatment for his right eye. which was severely injured some weeks ago. It is hoped the sight of it I may be saved. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Snow came in Saturday from Farmington to spend several days here. Miss Orpha Morris returned Sunday from Springville where she spent about a week visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Riding were visitors here Monday from the Dixie Power Co. plant at Veyo. Eddie and Elmer Christian returned return-ed Tuesday from Pine Valley where they spent a week working. Mrs. Annie . Atkin has returned home from Provo, where she spent the past two months with relatives. Misses Helen Pearce and Emma Squires returned Tuesday from Salt Lake City where they spent about a week visiting. Esmond, Dee and Leonard Hughes, Dave Linge and Lee Leavitt were visitors here the fore part of the week from Mesquite. Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew McNeil and Miss Lucile Games of Los Angeles, Cal., spent Sunday here with relatives rela-tives en route to Salt Lake City. Miss Dorothy Woodhouse came in Tuesday to spend a few days here visiting before returning to her home at Cedar City from Zion park, where she spent the past week.
