Show STOCKHOLDERS OF ARROWHEAD MEET INGALT LIKE Situation Explained, Elaborating Elabor-ating on Hardships Encountered En-countered as well as Bright Side of Operations Here Convinced that there is oil in the St. George field, (United States petroleum, reserve No. 7) Charles D. Alsop, general manager of the Arrowhead Petroleum Corporation, Cor-poration, met with many of the company stockholders in Salt Lake Saturday and gave an impressive talk on the field in general and the activities of the Arrowhead Petroleum Corporation in particular. particu-lar. The reason for calling the stockholders stock-holders together, Mr. Alsop explained, ex-plained, was to recommend that they be not discouraged or impatient impa-tient because hard times had delayed de-layed him in bringing in a well, but to subscribe for additional shares of stock and thereby insure in-sure the completion of the well on the Punch Bowl dome. Mr. Alsop gave many interesting interest-ing explanations of the history ,of the whole field,' relating the anticipated an-ticipated and unforeseen difficulties difficul-ties which every operating company com-pany had to contend with. He gave several excerpts from statements state-ments of nationally known geologists ge-ologists ,and read many contributing contribut-ing facts and statements which give every hope that the St. George oil field is soon . to be proven and thus give to the-state of Utah a splendid new industry and pay roll builder. The Washington County News has in the past and will continue in the future its policy of boosting boost-ing for .any worthy cause which contributes to the welfare of the citizens of southern Utah as well as the state itself and the report of our representative at the meeting meet-ing of the stockholders in Salt Lake draws a picture of the faith and loyalty of every member in pledging themselves . to continue financing the Arrowhead drilling progTam. Mr. Alsop is to be congratulated for the sincere method he has employed em-ployed in keeping faith with his investors and his efforts are worthy wor-thy of reward. |
