One of these ads which was mentioned two weeks ago illustrates the value the large advertiser places on space in the small town weekly. One ad plate to this paper toy air mail, cost the company $16.16 for postage post-age alone. All told this one ad in one issue of this paper cost as much as the average small-town business house spends in six months, and considerably more than some of them spent for newspaper advertising in the past twenty years. |
