But It is positively Injurious when :sed on the body and highly finished surfaces, says a writer In the Ainerl-:an Ainerl-:an Motorist. The force with which the stream of water Impinges on the surface causes the sand and dirt adhering to the body to be driven Into the varnish, destroy-ng destroy-ng its brilliancy, and no amount of polishing and rubbing will restore orig-nal orig-nal luster. The body should be washed with ukewarm soap and water and imme-Jlately imme-Jlately dried with a soft chamois. Many owners use a mixture of cylin-ler cylin-ler 611 and kerosene which they apply tin the body, rubbing it dry afterwards. The use of this polish will restore re-store even an old car to a degree of splendor that will please the user. |
