Show GRAND CANYON CATTLE DECREE APPEAL ASKED Appeal from part of the decision of Judge F. C. Jacobs of the federal district court of Phoenix, Arizona, in I the case of the United States against the Grand Canyon Cattle company will be taken to the Ninth circuit court. The case involves the conflict between be-tween southern Utah cattlemen and the company over alleged monopolization monopoliz-ation of range in the Arizona strip by the big concern, it being alleged the company fenced public land and piped pip-ed water to fenced troughs. The land is in the jurisdiction of the inspection division of the Salt Lake land office while the case had to be tried in the Arizona court. The district judge ordered fences rmoved and assessed costs of the trial on the cattle company but denied de-nied the government's plea for removal re-moval of two pipe lines. Word was received at the land office of-fice Wednesday from E. C. Finney, first assistant to the secretary of the interior, that the district attorney at Phoenix has been ordered to appeal from the adverse decision as to pipe lines on the ground that the lines traverse the public domain and that no permit was ever granted for the right of way.
