Show FOR 1928 CONVENTION OF NATIONAL EDITORIAL ASSN. James H. Wallis, secretary and treasurer of the Utah Press association, associa-tion, will leave today for Los Angeles to attend the annual convention of the National Editorial association as Utah's official delegate. Mr. Wallis is the owner of two Uintah basin newspapers. He was accompanied by Alex Dunn, editor of the, Tooele Transcript, a director of the Utah association. as-sociation. Mr. Wallis carries with him invitations invita-tions from four sources asking the National Editorial association to hold its 1928 convention in Salt Lake. They are from Governor George H. Dern. Mayor C. Clarence Neslen, the first presidency of the L. D. S. church and the chamber of commerce. The one from the last named is believed be-lieved to be one of the largest invitations invita-tions ever printed. It is on a sheet of paper eight and one-half by twelve feet and is printed with letters three inches high. The National Editorial association is comprised of editors' of papers of towns of not more than 50,000 population. popu-lation. It has a membership of nearly near-ly 1000. Salt Lake Tribune. |
