Show GENEOLOGICAXi CON VENTION The Geneological convention held in the Stake tabernacle June 17, was very successful. Elder Richard B. Summerhays, secretary of the -Utah Geneological Society with other representatives rep-resentatives from Salt Lake City were in attendance. There were also representatives rep-resentatives from the different ward committees here. Elder Summerhays urged the people peo-ple to awaken to and sense the necessity neces-sity of doing genealogy work. This he emphasized, is a very important step in temple work and should be taught in every L. D. S. home. He talked on the attitude and object of temple work, and on the importance of keeping records. Sister Burt, a representative from the state society spoke on how research re-search work for geneology is done. Sister Moore gave an interesting talk on the filing process and system of this work. Elder Win. T. Morris of the St. George Stake committee is enthusiastic enthusias-tic over the splendid instructions received re-ceived and is anxious to begin work at once. Those taking part in the three sessions ses-sions by way of rnusi were the West Ward ladies chorus, East Ward ladies chorus, and Santa Clara Ward male chorus. |
