Show Be at Pine Valley, July 4. See Utah's Wonderland from St. George: Zion National Park, Grand Canyon, Pine Valley, Snows Canyon. Hon. Edw. H. Snow came in from Salt Lake City Tuesday to spend the Fourth of July with his family. Pres. Snow says the weather in Salt Lake is rather oppressive and one can not sleep out at night on account of the mosquitoes. President and Mrs. Geo. F. Whitehead, White-head, Mayor and Mrs. H. T. Atkin, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Morris, Mrs. Ida Foremaster and Albert Bryner left last Saturday on a temple excursion. They intend visiting the Logan, Salt Lake and Manti temples and return home either tomorrow or Saturday. A dandy good time was had Monday Mon-day night at the missionary party given in honor of Miss LaVerna Cox, a large number being present. Miss Cox intends leaving for Salt Lake City today and expects to leave for the Eastern States mission field on the 5th inst. She carries with her the hearty good wishes of a host of friends for her success and welfare. ' Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Woodbury and daughter, Miss Gladys, have returned re-turned to their home at La Verkin. Mrs. Woodbury and daughter had been here for some time on account of the illness of Gladys, who has a pinenut shell lodged in her throat. She is recovering nicely from an attack at-tack of pneumonia, but will have to build up her strength before anything any-thing can be done to remove the shell. |
