Show ROCKVILLE ROCKVILLE, Aug. 17. Mrs. Marvin Terry and children were in St. George Thursday having dental work done. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dalton and son, Fred, of Los Angeles, came in Tuesday for a visit with relatives. The immediate family arranged a dinner in their honor Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dee Lester. Twenty-five guests were present. pres-ent. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Sullivan and children, Lloyd, Earl and Woodrow, and Miss Mona, spent Saturday afternoon visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar DeMille. Mr. and Mrs. Dick DeMille and small son left Thursday for Las Vegas where they will spend a short time. Oscar and Levi DeMille, Mrs. Ida Millett and Leonard Dalton were in Cane Beds Friday visiting visit-ing at the home of Joseph Millett. Mil-lett. Mr. and Mrs. Paul S. Worthen Wor-then attended the Worthen family fam-ily reunion at Panguitch last Friday. Mrs. Afton Ballard left Friday for ranguitch. Lester Dalton came in Saturday Satur-day from Bryce canyon, and returned re-turned Sunday. Visitors in our Sunday school were Mrs. Jos. Gubler and Mrs. Robert Woodbury of LaVerkin. Fern Harrison is recovering from her recent illness. Engineer J. A. Terry and family fam-ily spent Saturday afternoon in Cedar City. A Ford coupe belonging to Elwin Ballard was completely wrecked Saturday evening when it was struck by an oil truck half a mile below Rockville. The occupants of the car were uninjured. unin-jured. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hastings and small daughter, Florence Vernell, spent Saturday here vls-iting vls-iting the Dennett family. Ira Cox took a crowd of young folks to the farms on the Plains Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. LaVoy Mason and Mr. Mason's mother, are at the Shady camp. Garry, the small son of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Everett, is ill Mrs. Robert Hanson motored to Zion park Sunday afternoon taking with her Mr. and Mrs. Oscar DeMille. Boyd Dennett of St. George is visiting relatives this week. Mrs. John Dennett has improved im-proved a great deal the. last week. Fenton Hirschi of Hurricane-is Hurricane-is visiting his grandmother, Mrs. Clara Connell. A party was given Saturday evening at the home of Miss. Karma Hirschi in honor of the birthday of Miss lone DeMille. Fourteen guests were present. The evening was spent in games. Clara Stevens, Leonard Dalton, Dal-ton, Mr. and Mrs. Perry DeMille Mrs. Ida Millett, Oliver DeMille, Mrs. Brigham Da II on and Mrs. Lottie Cox attended the funeral of Joseph Millett at Short Creek Sunday. Jake Dalton has started work on a new home. Mrs. Eugene Cripps of Middle-ton Middle-ton was visiting at the home of Mrs. Dee Lester last week. Mr. and Mrs. Waldon Ballard and baby came in from Cane Beds Sunday and visited Mr. and Mrs. Afton Ballard. Loris D"!ineit and Sherman Russell left last wei-k for Hurley, Hur-ley, Idaho. |
