Show JUNIOR PROM A BIG SUCCESS The Junior Prom last Friday night was a big success from every point of view. The gym was crowded, the floor with dancers, the galleries with spectators, and all enjoyed what was the greatest event of the year of its kind. The Mexican idea had been carried out in the decorations, and this was made to include the wonderful orchestra, orch-estra, the members of which were dressed in Spanish costume including includ-ing the conical, wide brimmed hat with tassels around the outside of the rim. In the center of the floor a pavilion had been erected which was gaudily decorated. Auxilary pillars had been erected under the gallleries, and these, the galleries and everywhere every-where else where possible had been charmingly decorated with flowers, etc. The program included a number of waltzes and for these the light was changed to red, many red lamps around the gallery furnishing this light. The effect was very beautiful, with the artistic decorations and the pretty dresses of the girls. Many visitors were present from Cedar City and other places and all seemed to thoroughly enjoy the affair. af-fair. That it was a success financially was evidenced by the amount collected. collect-ed. $150.00 being cleared after paying pay-ing all expenses. |
