It was impossible to make a decision as to which student stu-dent in college was most outstanding, out-standing, so medals were given the three. Special recognition was given to John T. Woodbury, Jr., head of the public speaking department, depart-ment, and coach of the debating team. A court" of honor, presided over by Jack Spencer as judge, I Wayne Robertson, prosecuting attorney, and LoRen Watson, Naomi Na-omi Cottam, Reed Heywood, Violet Spendlove and Roxey Romney, defense counsel, was conducted and awards made as follows: Mary McGregor, outstanding vocal music student. Mamie Grant and Eleanor Nicholes, pins for winning girls' day poem and story contests, respectively. Thelma Bleak, Earl J. and Stella Bleak, meda! for outstanding out-standing work in band and orchestra. or-chestra.
