Show RECREATION CAMPS ERECTEDJN FOREST The Duck Creek, Navajo Lake I and Webster Flat Forest Service j Recreation camps, located on the northern part of the Dixie Nation-al Nation-al Forest between Cedar Breaks : and Bryce Canyon, are now ready for use and the Forest Service j takes this opportunity to extend a 1 cordial invitation and welcome to 'all campers, tourists, hikers, fish-! fish-! ermen and recreationalists who desire to use them. The areas are j now complete with the best facilities fa-cilities that modern mountain ! camps have to offer, each having commodious camp-sites equipped j with tables, stoves, individual bonfire areas, tent space, parking , areas, pure water, garbage cans and sanitary rest-rooms; com-i com-i munity center with open air thea-j thea-j tre, bonlirfie area and a spacious playground equipped for all types : of recreation for young and old. I In the nearby streams and lakes there are plenty of fish for the fishermen and the forest covered J mountains offer scenic -Qiid educational educa-tional hikes for the hixers. 1 I Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks and Zion National Park form a triangle on this mountainous area ' covered with volcanic peaks, 'sandstone clils, grassy valleys, I colorful lakes and streams, all of j which are bordered with trees, ', flowers and shrubs of a wide var- ' iety. I The location of these recreation j camps, fairly in the center of this 1 natural wonderland of Southern ' Utah, make of them a convenient center from which the tourist may 'visit the national parks which immediately im-mediately surround the area on j all sides. Even the great Kiabab and Grand Canyon are only a few 1 hours ride from the . beautiful , Duck Creek ana " Navajo Lake : camps, while the others are but a comparatively few minutes drive. ! The Dixie National Forest Ser-! Ser-! vice, with the cooperation of the ' CCC organization, has made these camps with accessible roads and trails for the use and joy of the ! public at large and it is the desire de-sire of the service that they be fully utilized and in return they ! ask only one charge namely, that the visitors obey the rules ! of sanitation and protect the for-jests for-jests from ruthless cutting and fire hazards. i Besides the tourists, fishermen 'and others who come to the 'mountains, the recreation camps 'offer five centers for civic, club :and church celebrations and fam-1 fam-1 ily reunions. Many of these already al-ready have established days and 1 come by the thousands each sum-1 sum-1 mer to celebrate together. j The camps are usually open for ! outings but to make sure of your :Hate you are invited to get in !
