Show TOQUERVILLE .Mr. and Mrs. Ben Newell, Mrs. Fay Carter and Mrs. Sam Raymond Ray-mond left Thursday, for a trip through Idaho, Washington and Oregon, before returning to their home at Los Angeles. Saturday night, the Relief society so-ciety held their annual party. The evening was spent in playing games and dancing, after which lunch was served. Monday night the P. T. A. held a dance. A local radio broadcast was enjoyed by all. Lunch was sold and everyone had a good time. Mrs. Adele Bunker, of Veyo is visiting at the home of her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Slack. The East Side Civic club committees com-mittees met at Rockville, on Monday Mon-day night, in business meeting. Mrs. G. M. Spillsbury returned home Monday from Hurricane, where she has been the past three weeks under the doctor's care. She is able to be around again. Gordon Bringhurst is home from school at Cedar City, on account of the sickness of his mother. Most of the young folks at-tended at-tended the "hard time" dance held Saturday night, at the CCC camp, at Zion. The prizes for costumes were taken by Loren Higbee and Josephine Theobald, of Toquerville. Sunday afternoon, Stake President Presi-dent Claude Hirschi and James Judd met with us in the capacity of Ward conference. Archie Kliinman was voted as first counselor coun-selor to Bishop Leo Bringhurst. Mrs. Elwin Slack returned home Sunday from La Verkin, where she has been visiting her parents, on account of her sickness. sick-ness. Mr. and Mrs..M. V. Lamb and daughter, Blanch, spent Tuesday, in Orderville, where Blanch is teaching some blind students. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Johnson have moved to Anderson's Ranch for the summer. |
