Show WARD MUTUALS HOLD CONTESTS The stake M. I. A. contests were conducted Saturday, March 28, under un-der the direction of the Stake Mutual board. Four -wards, the St. George South, East, West and Enterprise En-terprise entered in the major contests, con-tests, and in addition to these the Santa Clara and Washington wards entered the Beehive contests. con-tests. At noon the stake and ward officers together with all contestants contest-ants had luncheon. Following is a list of the winners win-ners in the various events: Double mixed quartet: First, South ward. Second, East ward. Third, West ward. Gleaner chorus: First, South ward. Second, East ward. Vanguard retold story: First, West, Howard Whitehead. Second,' East, La Veil Cottam. Third, South, Morris Brooks. Gleaner oration: First, East, Emma Thompson. Second, South, Virginia Pearce. As the Dixie College is a church school it is the wish of the authorities au-thorities that all students will have an increased interest in Mutual Mu-tual work next winter and work toward achieving A standard in some form of Mutual activity. |
