Show LOCAL FFA BOYS LEAVE FOR LOGAN Thirty-five boys of the Dixie Chapter of Future Farmers of America will leave Friday morning morn-ing for Logan to attend the Seventh Annual leadership convention con-vention and judging contest of the State association of the F. .F A. The trip will be made in a bus and will be the first summer sum-mer outing of the chapter. Developing agricultural leadership lea-dership will be the special theme of the convention, according to an official announcement received receiv-ed at the agricultural department of Dixie College. Approximately 600 Future Farmer boys are expected ex-pected to be the guests of the Utah State Agricultural College during the three days of August 26, 27, and 28. The official contests scheduled for the convention are livestock, crops and poultry judging, and shop tests. The winning teams in livestock, poultry and dairy judgin will be awarded free trips to the American Royal Livestock Show at Kansas City, October 20-27. The boys who have been selected sel-ected to play in the Utah state F. F. A. band will meet during the convention for practice and will play in the concert at the last meeting of the association. Boys from the Dixie Chapter are Stanley 'Schmutz .Bowden Ken-worthy, Ken-worthy, and Carlos Schmutz. Sectional meetings are scheduled schedul-ed for the different officers of the chapters. Definite training and help will be given the boys to aid them in carrying out more successfully the duties of their respective offices. For those not engaged in the contests outstanding programs in moving pictures, instrumental land vocal music, stunts by the boys and teachers of the chapters, chap-ters, educational tours to the different parts of the campus, and recreational activities such as iswimming, handball, and tennis ten-nis have been provided. Bob Kenworthy will play a guitar and harmonica duet at one of the Convention meetings. Stanley Schmutz will play a saxaphone solo with Bob Kenworthy playing play-ing the piano accompaniment. A lucky coincidence of dates assures the boys making the trip the opportunity of seeing what is advertised as the largest circus (Continued on last page.)
