Show FORMER RESIDENT DIES AT DELTA Jlrs. Julia S. Cox Jones, S4, a former resident of St. George, died at her home at Sutherland, Suther-land, near Delta, last Thursday, jlrs. Jones, widow of Frederick Jones, was born February 20, IS 49, at Council Bluffs, Iowa, and came with her parents to Hali when she was a small child. Sse lived here until 19 2 5 when she mcvsd to Sutherland. She became totally biind when she was 75 years of age, but partially regained her sight later. la-ter. At the age of 7S, she learned learn-ed the Braille system, and spent her latter years reading. Besides one daughter, Mrs. Jennie Thornton, she is survived surviv-ed by four sisters: Mrs. R. J. Gardner and Mts. H. O. Gardner, Gard-ner, Delta, and Mrs. Emma L. Burgess and Mrs. Reuben Gardner, Gard-ner, St. George, and one brother, bro-ther, Dr. William J. Snow, of Provo. Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed Saturday at the Sutherland L. D. S. chapel and burial was at the Delta city cemetery. |
