Show Club news Dowell ladies The Dowell Ladies Club met for their October meeting with many plans for their annual Spook Alley They have many new ideas for this year This year proceeds will go to a new community program renting for infants and small children In previous years the money the club has raised has gone for playground equipment for the Bicentennial Pavilion park and the park near the Vernal Community Com Com- Community Swimming Pool Beaux Arts The first meeting of the year was held at the home of Norma Wardle Clara Price introduced the program Achieve ing Inner Peace Her guest speaker was Dr Robert G Vincent who gave a very informative talk on stress New officers of the year were introduced introduced ed They are President Glenda Landon Vice President Barbara Jolley Secretary Norma Wardle and Historian Marsale A dessert was served to eleven members Next meeting will be held Nov 3 at the home of Marsale Progressive Arts The incoming officers of the Pro Pro- Progressive Progressive Arts club entertained the members with a dinner featuring an in- in international international theme at the home of Lucille Caldwell on October 6 The members came dressed in Unity Rebekah The regular meeting of Unity Rebekah Lodge no 23 was held Oct 6 at the Golden Age Center Rebekah Jewelry donated by Alice White will be auctioned off with the pro pro- proceeds proceeds discussed purchasing a refrigerator for their use Also members brought canned good clothing and various items badly need need- needed needed ed for the Shelters Shelter's use The next meeting will be of Thelma Hicks Dinah Duds The Dinah Duds unit of Vernal and Roosevelt were host to Iris Court 47 of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America Sept 25 Forty eight ladies and nobles accompanied High Priestess Lady Merle Treat Treaton Treaton on a bus from Salt Lake City Lunch was served at noon at the Masonic Temple This was taken care of by Dinah Duds Court was held at 2 pm and a dinner dance at 7 pm was held at atthe atthe the Elks Lodge The door prize was won by a lady from Salt Lake City A homemade quilt was won by Leroy Bozarth Directress of the Dinah Duds Lady Rosie Bozarth presented
