C M AA students By Harriet Dickerson A logical second step to be followed in the learning of numbers is to put them together in an order for use The children at Country C Meadows will do this this' in th the l learning ining of their home hone telephone number The telephone company has a marvelous machine called a trainer tele which is available for use in school for teaching children proper use of the telephone DEPENDING ON age and development levels the youngest children at Country Meadows will learn that in time of emergency we pick up the phone and dial 0 Then we have to tell our name the name of our parents approximately where we live and what the problem is The older children will learn their own telephone number at home or and-or the number of their mother or father at work The trainer tele-trainer allows one child to dial a number and have another phone ring to be bean answered answered answered an an- by another child a really fun way to teach proper in answering the telephone It is a really fun week for the children but toward the end the teachers are generally not sure whether the ringing they have in their ears is because one of the children is using the trainer tele-trainer or not |
