Show JORDAN DISTRICT ADOPTSBUDGET The 1954-55 budget of Jordan School Distuct, totaling $2,527,-3!iu, $2,527,-3!iu, was adopted at a public hear in" held at the administration building. The budget was accepted after recommendation of approval of Dr. M. H. Harris, secretary of the Utah Taxpayers Association. With a tax decrease from 10 mills to 7 mills on the Jordan district building build-ing fund, 12 mills uniform school fund and 5 mills supplementary, chances are there will be no increase in-crease in the school tax over last year. The estimated revenues include: inclu-de: Jordan district school fund on a 5-mill levy of $1,125,000; Miscellaneous receipts, $3,500; minimum school program, 333.8 units at $4,050 a unit totals $1,-35 $1,-35 1 Ji9U; transportation, $44,000 for a total of $2,527,390. Estimated expenditures include: inclu-de: general control, $66,150; induction, in-duction, $1,524,000; auxiliary agencies, $147,500; operation of school plants, $180,400; maintenance mainten-ance of school plants, $125,000; rixeJ enarges, $izo,uuu, i.an increase in-crease over last year because the district is required to pay for the employees' share of Social Security; Se-curity; retirement fund and collection col-lection of taxes); capjital outlay, $323,340; debt service, $6,000; i mergencies, $30,000.
