the meeker massacre the utes and the eltah indians had runners out tor for the arrival of the blue coats or soldiers that they were ere coming to help meeker on the arrival of the soldiers the indians am bushed themselves and fired ailing kl ting aroln and three or tor fot privates after the meeker massacre a fort was as built down in the ouray valley later it was torn down and ard moved to the
