Show Dutch John I Donna Collett, 889-3387 I Students compete at regional meet Students from Dutch John participating par-ticipating in the Regional High School Speech and Drama held at Park City last weekend were Troy Gale and Virtus Kiddy, Kid-dy, who received surprised ratings, and Blaine Thompson and Jana Anderson, who received excellent ratings. They also stayed and visited in Heber and were entertained by Carrie and Mark Charlesworth, former residents of Dutch John. Bishop and Mrs. Stephen Thompson are spending a week in Provo visiting friends and doing Temple work. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rogers went to Salt Lake City Wednesday to finalize the paperwork on Connie's trip to Japan April 22. The Junior Prom was held Friday evening at Manila High School. Lanette Robinson and Andy Minrod reigned as queen and king with Becky Kiddy, Todd Potter, Natalie Radosivich and Bruce Anderson as first and second runners up. High school students participating in the mock court at the Uintah High School in Vernal Wednesday were Bruce Anderson, Ander-son, Celest Skabland, Natalie Radosivich and Becky Barber of Dutch John. Deane Roper has moved from Vernal to the Flaming Gorge Meadows where she will spend the summer working at the Flaming Gorge Lodge. Dutch John Elementary School will hold their field day May 9. They will be competing with McKinnon and Manila. Terell and Sheryl Collett are the proud pro-ud parents of a baby boy born April 9 at the Ashley Valley Medical Center. He will be named Tyson. He was welcomed home by Tera, T.J. and Tasha. Grandparents Grand-parents are Mr. and Mrs. Norman Long of Manila and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Collett. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Pallisen went to Salt Lake Wednesday where Allen received a physical checkup. Linda Bru and girls went to Tooele over the weekend where they visited at the David Buck home. Mrs. Buck is Linda's Lin-da's sister. Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Baxter returned Saturday from a week's vacation trip visiting their families. In Coalville, they visited their daughter Mary and husband and family. In Las Vegas they visited their other daughter Jana and Brent MacKay and baby. They also visited Chuck's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Baxter in Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Collett went to Logan Sunday to be with their son Guy who underwent minor surgery on his right shoulder. They also visited with the Herald Egburts in Richmond. Eight boys from Dutch John went to Evanston, Wyo. Saturday where they participated in wrestling meets in which they all placed. They are Robert and Cory Hatch, Virtus, Paul, Clayton and Mathew Kiddy, and Mike and Kenan Nicotera. Joe Nicotera is their coach. Maureen Cici went to Grand Junction, Colorado Friday where she visited the college and facilities. Erin Turner has spent this past week in Ogden at the Regional Forest Service Offices where she has been taking basic supervision training. |
