Show Teenagers awarded for outstanding achievement i. .jo vernal Junior High and two Uintah Uin-tah High School students were awarded or scholastic achievement and community com-munity service by the Vernal Elks. Recipients of the Junior Teenager ward from Vernal Junior High School ere Ronny Allen and Shellie Belcher. Allen is the son of Larry and Carol "illen of Vernal. He is a ninth grader. , le is a member of the Junior Honor lociety, plays football, and was the lead the school play. In his spare time he rVnioys computers, hunting and bike Riding. His GPA is 4.0. a' Shellie Belcher is the daughter of Curg :nA Sheila Belcher, of Vernal. Miss Belcher is a member of the Junior Honor Society, Prinicipal's Advisory Committee Commit-tee and won the Junior Exhibitor Award at last year's 4-H awards banquet. She enjoys sports, dancing and swimming. Recipients of the Teenager Award at Uintah High School were Kelly Sorenson and Julene Johnson. Sorensen is the son of Cal D. Sorenson of Vernal. He is on the honor roll and in the school band. He plays basketball and enjoys computer science, golf and music Miss Johnson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne E. Johnson of Vernal.
