Show s Junior Livestock Show set f 1'he four day Junior Livestock Show . will begin Tuesday, next week, with a -horse show and weigh-in of all livestock. Steven Cox, USU extension agent, said that it appears there will be more 4-H and FFA entries in this year's show over last year. "We need community support for the sale," Cox said, "especially in this .time of recession." i Judging of livestock wiil begin Wednesday, June 1 with breeding sheep at 9 a.m.; dairy goats at 10 a.m., and breed beef at 10 a.m. Fitting and showing of swine will be 11 a.m. ; sheep at 12:30, and beef at 3:30 p.m. Junior judging will be at 3:30 p.m. Judging fat animals will begin Thursday at 9 a.m. for swine; 10:30 for lambs, and 1 p.m. for calves. The awards banquet will be at the Vernal Junior High at 7:30 p.m. The sale will begin at 10 a.m. Friday. "In the past the community has shown a lot of support for the Junior Livestock Show and Sale and we hope it continues this year," Cox said. |
