Show Whiterocks Virginia Ferguson Phone 353-4584 First responder course begins Ft. Duchesne EMT Department is starting a first responder course. It will be held each Tuesday and Thursday starting star-ting Feb. 15 and run through March 1. The classes last from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and all interested persons are urged to attend. There is no charge for the classes. Dorothy Hancock of Mesa, Ariz., was a weekend visitor with her daughter, Mary Lynn Hoopes. During her week's stay in the area, she will also be visiting her daughter, Sylvia Jones of Vernal. Veda and Pat Forakis, sister and brother-in-law of Stan Hoopes, came from Kearns to attend the Jay Anderton funeral. While here they are visiting in the Whiterocks area. Toni and Joe Weaver and family of Grand Junction, Colo., were overnight visitors with their paren's, Stan and Mary Lynn Hoopes. Saturday was the last day for the ski buses driven by Stan Hoopes and Alfred Helquist to pick up the skiers from Vernal Ver-nal for transportation to Park City. Stan Hoopes, Jr., notes that he observed observ-ed about 200 head of elk in the area near his home this past week. The Moon Lake Electric building was the scene for the wedding reception for Blane Warren and Monna Huxford last week. Among the out-of-town guests were Land Brough and family of Ogden. Blane Warren is the brother of DeAnne Quick, who reports they had wall-to-wall people in their home following the reception, recep-tion, with the evening being spent visiting. The Head Start Valentine party was held last Monday. The parents made Valentine boxes for their children. Following the party refreshments were served. Glenda Arrowchis and her daughter, Marcie, drove to Salt Lake City last weekend to greet her nephew, Mark Jones of Pocatello, who returned from his mission in the Chicago area. |
