Both professional and amauer artists participated. UBIC art show winners announced by nudges The UBIC art show was judged Thursday afternoon and many winners were announced from the Uintah Basin. Marianne Morton's painting was judged as the best of the show. Wando Collette was first in professional oil, Dawna Wardell was second and Janice Leech was third. In professional watercolor Christy King's painting was judged first and in professional drawing Dallas J. Green came in first. In adult amateur oil, Judy Murray was first, Reita Hamblin second and third. In adult amateur watercolor Linda Lundstrom was judged first and second and Jean Hamblin was third. In adult drawing and graphic, Val Wilkerson was first, Barbara Benson was second and Sharie Oberhansly was third. In youth oil 12 to 20 year old. Alisa Woodward was first, Chad Hamblin was second and third. In youth drawing and graphic, Lorin Anderton's painting was first and second and Mervin Glines was third. In children's art Noe Christianson was first, Micheal Jensen second, and Tamra Hamblin third. Judges in the UBIC show were David Ahrnsbrak, Vernal; Vickie Matthews, Roosevelt, and Dick Montag, Bridgeland. The art show will be open until Saturday at 6 p.m. |
