Show UBIC activities August 5-6-7 This year's swimming activities and games will include greased watermelon, lifesaver and toothpick relay, ping pong relay, and hoop race. The swimming pool schedule at the Roosevelt City I'ool during UBIC week will be as follows: THURSDAY. AUGUST 5 10-12 noon Youth swim games (Ages 12-16) 12-1 p.m. Ladies free swim 1-2:30 p.m. Free swim (Ages 6-12) 2:30-4 p.m. Free swim (ages 13-20) 4-5:30 p.m. Family free swim (Parent must be there. ) FRIDAY. AUGUST 6 10-12 noon Youth swim games (Ages 5-12) 12-1 p.m. Ladies free swim 1-2:30 p.m. Free swim (Ages 6-12) 2:30-4 p.m. Free swim (Ages 13-20) 4-6 p.m. Family free swim (Parent must be there. ) SATURDAY. AUGUST 7 All ages swim races after parade 12-1 p.m. Men's free swim 1-2:30 p.m. Free swim (Ages 5-12) 2:30 4 p.m. Free swim (Ages 13 20) 4 6 p.m. Family free swim (Parent must be there.) MLN' SOF'I HAI f. The li League tourney will be held August 2-5. The A League is still accepting en tries until August 3 for their tourney-August tourney-August 6-7. Those interested should con tact George Jackson. The tournaments will be double elimination. The 1982 UBIC tennis tournament begins Monday, August 2 with finals by Saturday, August 7. Divisions available for the tournament tourna-ment are: Men's singles (all ages, A Plight and B Fliiiht, Ladies singles (open), Men's doubles (open), and Ladies doubles (open). Children who want to participate in the UBIC children's games should be at the City Park in Roosevelt at 3 p.m. on Friday, August 6. Children ages 1-4 will start at 3 p.m. and children ages 5-12 will start at 4 p.m. The obstacle course race will start at 5 p m CORRECTION: UBIC pet show on August 6 will be from 9-10 a.m. instead of 10-11 a.m. |
