Show Dicanne Wilcox netfs crovr m Vernal gymnastics snew Vernal Junior High captured five first places, but Roosevelt garnered the team title with 162.37 points and the Panthers netted second place at 141.45 points in a gymnastics meet in Vernal, Thursday. The Vernal crew will host Duchesne, Thursday at 4 p.m. and will battle the Vikings at West Junior High, March 6 and will compete in a tourn-ment tourn-ment at West Junior High, April 4. The Panthers' Diane Wilcox pocketed three first places and nabbed the all-around all-around crown. Wilcox netted first place in the floor exercise with a score of 8 9 and Wendy Nebeker of Rooevel Dlaoed second at 8.8. Roosevelt s Cheryl Wilkins netted third place at 85 and Denise Hanchett pocketed fourth place at 8.15. Maria Hunt of Roosevelt and Janie Olbert of Vernal nabbed fifth place at 8.0. Also competing in the event were: Rachel Nuttall, 7.75; Brenda Mitchell, 7 0- Jana Hanks, 6.9 Vernal; Marcie Sol'monson, 7.15; Lisa Casper, 7.35 and Lou Vernon, 7.65, Roosevelt.
