Perank's buck, which was nabbed in the Three Corners area, had 58 11-16 points. The total includes height, spread and points over two inches long. Mike Carlsen of Logan captured the $1,000 gift certificate in the Sunset Sports Centers' Big Buck Contest with 71 and 14-16 points. Wayne Bastian. N'eola, collected second place in the Big Buck Contest at the Sunset Sports Center in Vernal with 56 13-16 points. Bastain nabbed his buck in Willow Creek and he was awarded a knife set. Robert Pitchford of Vernal garnered third place with 54 11-16 points. Pitchford Pit-chford gained his buck in the Dutch John area. Pitchford was presented a knife set. Vernal's Grant Ralphs pocketed fourth place with a total of 54 and 9-16 points. Ralphs garnered his buck near the Colton Ranger Station. He was awarded a down vest. Kenneth Hackford of Lapoint picked up fifth place honors with 52 9-16 points. Hackford nabbed his buck in the Little Water area. Hackford was awarded a down vest. The Vernal Sunset Sports Center had 783 entries in their Big Buck Contest. |
