Show Head-on results in citations totals vehicles Two vehicles were totaled and both drivers cited Friday after a head-on collision on 5000 So. 2439 W., Vernal. According to UHP officer Lloyd Media m a 1973 Monte Carlo driven by Kevin Paul Stratton, 19 of Vernal was backing out of a drive way when a 1979 Ford :li ton pickup driven by Michael Craig Laris, 27 of Vernal was turning into a driveway and they hit head-on in the middle of the road. Laris was cited for driving left of the center line and Stratton was cited for no Utah drivers license. Damage to the Monte Carlo was-estimated was-estimated at $3200 and the pickup at $8000. Neither driver was injured. Approximately $400 damage was done to a 1973 Ford station wagon Sunday when a trailer it was towing jack-knifed in the road and turned on its side. Trooper Mecham UHP spokesman, said the driver, Larry V. Winn, 40 of Vernal, lost control of the vehicle while traveling south on U44. Winn was cited for speed too fast for conditions. Minor damage was sustained to the door frame of the trailer. No injuries were reported. |
