Clover Club picked up two runs in the fourth and seven in the fifth inning for a 16 to 3 advantage. Guy Coleman singled and a double by Kim Peterson advanced advanc-ed Coleman to third base. Ace Davis' single knocked in Coleman and Peterson. Peter-son. Robert Werry reached first base on an error in the bottom of the fifth and Rick Browning stroked a double. A wild throw and an error enabled Werry and Browning to cross home plate. Guy Coleman, Dean Woodbury, Walt Burdette, Kim Peterson and Ace Davis also scored runs for Clover Club in the error filled inning. Iorg scored its final run in the top of the seventh inning. Kent Olsen led off with a triple, which involved a dusty head first slide at third base, and was driven in by James Reed on a fielder's choice, which made the final score: Clover Club, 16 and Iorg 4. Clover Club netted first place, and Iorg placed se- cond. Iorg advanced into the championship contest with Clover Club when they blasted the Basin Bailers of Vernal, 21 to 3. The Iorg softballers massacred the Basin Bailers with runs in every inning. Members of the first place team, Clover Club, are: Rick Browning, Robert Werry, Walt Burdette, Jay Omer, Kim Peterson, Guy Coleman, Dean Woodbury, Don Solmonson, Ace Davis and Roger Cowan. Browning had six homers in the tournament. He hit two homers in the first game with Western Company and two against Iorg in the championship game. Clover Club finished with a 5-0 record.
