Show Nacscr I Enid Hatch I Phone 789-3150 J Hank Peltiers announce fifth grandson's birth Grandson number 5 for Hank and Dorothy Peltier arrived last week tipping the scales at 8 lbs. 6 ozs. Austin Lance Luck was born August 6 to Lance and Maurine (Jensen) Luck of Neola. Other grandparents are Lee and Geniel Jensen; great-grandparents are Lionel and Ruth Jensen afi of Neola ; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence E. Caldwell of Lapoint. The DeLeon Slades were in Salt Lake City last Friday on business and spent the weekend with Dean and Pam Dow family at their new home in Bountiful. Terel and Julie Merkley, daughter Ashley Rae from Odgen; David and Dorothy Anderson, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Rulon and Linda Cammack and son Weston, American Falls, Idaho were guests at the Lorin Merkley .home. They attended the reception of Lesa and Tim Reynolds. Carl and Kathy (Allred) McConkie and son have moved from Dillon, Montana back to Vernal. The DeLoy Vernon family of Sandy were visitors at the Alton Vernon home last weekend. Wallace and LaVar Anderson and grandson Jared Fisher have been visiting the Greg and Donna Fae Franson family in Kennewick, Washington. Roger and Marlea Beckstead and children spent a week in Preston, Idaho visiting the Hessy Becksteads, Roger's parents. Debbie Burke from Pocatello Idaho returned with them to spend a week visiting her grandmother, Blanch Smith, and cousins Delene Jenkins and Sheila Beckstead. Jay and Joy Burke and daughter Valerie from Pocatello Idaho; the Lorin Fawcett family from Hennerfer visited Blanch Smith, and attended the Smith reunion Sunday. Debbie returned home with her parents. Lynn and Eleanor Scott and children, Craig and Marilyn, from Trinity Center, California flew to Vernal last week where they visited the Grant Hackings, the Berkley Halls and other relatives. The Scotts were returning from a vacation. They have been to Glacier National Park in Montana; Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming; then to Big Piney, Wyoming where they stayed at W.N. Beesley's mountain cabin. Eleanor and children stayed in Vernal to visit and attend the Hacking reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Porter spent the last weekend in Logan where they visited their son Scott Porter family. They were present at Sacrament Meeting, Sunday for the naming of their granddaughter, Dawn. They also attended at-tended the Logan LDS Temple for the marriage of Debra Mace and Wesley Land. Robert Raines family has moved to Bonanza. Kenneth and Bonnie Fisher visited recently in Boise, Idaho with the Willie B. Fishers. While there they attended the Fisher family reunion. Kevin and Cathy Allen were in Salt Lake City on business on Tuesday last week. The DeLoy Slaugh family, Salt Lake City visited with their parents, the Merve Slaughs, over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh E. (Glee) Gir-sberger Gir-sberger and children Becky, Glenn, Philip, Sheryle and Mechelle Glee from Walla Walla, Washington spent five days visiting their parents, the Boyd and Enid Hatch family, the Douglas Hatch family and the David Hatch family where they stayed. While here they enjoyed family dinners, picnic at Remember the Maine Park and a boat trip on the Green River from Flaming Gorge to Little Hole. They left Tuesday to visit with the Jerry Hatch family in Lehi where they went to the Timpanogos Cave. The Wayne Jenkins family met them in Lehi to visit. The Gerald Stewart family are new residents in Dry Fork Canyon. The Hank Peltier family spent a week long vacation touring Idaho, Montana, Washington, and Oregon. In Dillon, Montana, they visited the Aral and Elaine Allred and Howard and Maxine Allred families. At Joseph, Oregon they visited the Bob Clvdes. Masaye Kurino trom Japan a chaperane of the Labo students from Japan and Donna Bird from Utah County Extension Service in Provo were guests of Howard and Florence Williams over the weekend. Mrs. Williams and Miss Bird took Mrs. Kurino to visit the area. They went to Flaming Gorge, Dutch John, Dinosaur Quarry and also attended the wedding reception for Lesa Merkley and Tim Reynolds. An open house for Arza Adams eightieth birthday will be held at his home, 1075 N. 3000 W., Saturday, August 25, from 7 to 9 p.m. All his friends and relatives are invited. Maeser Second Ward Relief Society will hold their Mother-Daughter fashion show August 28 at 2 p.m. at Lorna Condon's yard. DeLeon and Sandie Slade and children went to Riverton, Wyoming. Friday to visit with Lewis and Bonnie Parker and sons, Steve and Scott. They went to Salt Lake City on business Tuesday on their way home. Lyn A. Morrill was sustained as new Bishop of Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Abegglen and sons, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Perry and family and mother Minnie Morrill were on hand at the meeting in Jensen when Lyn was sustained last Sunday. Larry Peterson, husband of Margie Peterson, a former resident of Maeser will be his first counselor. Tal Roy and Wyoma Merkley and children from Monticello visited with the Tad Merkley family and attended the Merkley reunion. John and Susan Davis and children are new residents of Maeser living in the half-mile subdivision. Tony and Darylene Machado and family, Tona, Rohen, Robert and Michell spent last week in the. San Francisco Bay area visiting relatives and sight-seeing. The LeRoy Carroll family met for a reunion. Margaret Ricks from Sacramento, CA.; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Carroll from Anaheim, CA.; Leland Cairoll family; Larson and Lucille Caldwell and the Don E. Carrolls were present. Corey and Marilyn Grua are parents of a son born at the Uintah County Hospital weighing 10 lbs. and 6 ozs. Grandparents are Tom and Nancy Grua, Mrs. Allen B. Williams of Spanish Fork, who is at the Grua home helping the family. The Carl Dee Jenkins family Houston, Texas, have been visiting at the Dee Jenkins home, Mechael has been here on vacation returned home with her parents. Lorin Bunker from Loganville, Nevada has been visiting his daughters' family. His wife, Thelma, who has spent a month with the Dave and Kathy Smith family returned home with him. Connie Dalton from Sunset; Jenny Chartan, South Weber have been visiting with their grandparents the Thoral Riches and the Jim Oldham family. Louise McDurmott, Gunnison, Colorado has been visiting at the home of Bob and Trudy Roelofsz. Pama Sue Vernon who has been in Salt Lake City working, has moved home. Clair Hulburt has returned from a vacation to Alaska where she visited her daughter and family, Larry and Shirley Wild. While she was visiting the Wild's had a new daughter weighing 9 lbs. and 14 ozs. She will be named Autum Marie. Mrs. Hulburt arrived home to accompany Wilber and Ethel Oaks to a family reunion to North Dakota. Visiting at the home of their grandparents, grand-parents, the Wayne Preston's, are Susan and Trevier Preston from Dallas, Texas, children of Ron Preston. Mrs. Homer Sulser from Salt Lake City is visiting at the home of son and family, the Bud Sulser's. |
