Show None comprehend the power of the press as well as do the workers of iniquity. This is illustrated by the following dispatch from Washington relative to some of the doings of the Star route conspirator, Brady: Brady's sale of the Sunday Capital indicates that the experiment of using instrumentalities of that sort to assail all who have opposed the Star route method has not proven satisfactory, successful or profitable. At the time the Star route trials began he owned the control of three newspapers here, the Republican, the Critic, and the Sunday Capital and he is under the suspicion of having paid considerable subsidies to one or two other newspapers in consideration of an agreement that he should not be attacked by them. |
