Show BURGLARY. Last night, a C. P. box car was entered and burglarized. A bale of dry goods was unpacked and part of them was stolen; other articles were also taken out of the car. No clue has yet been discovered to the thief or thieves, but it is thought to be the work of tramps, and that they are secreted in the brush on the river bottoms. If they are, let them be hunted out and scattered or confined. Since the above was in type we have learned that the missing goods have been found. They were hid up in a quantity of sunflowers about one hundred and fifty yards north of the C. P. car shops. Officer Richard Douglas and Mr. Jos. Payne arrested eight tramps; some were arrested in the vicinity of the place where the missing goods were found. They are in jail awaiting an interview with His Honor, which in due time will be accorded them.-Ogden Herald. |
