Show CAMPBELL & MORRELL. For some time this firm have had an "open letter" in the Journal announcing that on Saturday, the 16th, they would open a stock of boots and shoes, gent's furnishing goods, &c. On the morning of the day named the doors of their new store on Third street, next to T. B. Cardon's old stand were invitingly thrown open to customers. On the shelves, neatly arranged and well displayed was a large stock of goods embracing many varieties of men's boots and shoes, ladies' shoes, gents furnishing goods, hats, caps, &c. The firm consists of two young men of first class reputation, good ability and a long business experience, and they enter the mercantile field with some difficulties to contend with, but they have excellent prospects of ultimate success, and many friends who heartily wish them well. |
