Show A RUNAWAY.

On Sunday last a fractious steed attached to a light wagon made things pleasant for disinterested spectators but sorrowful for his owner. The animal had been tied in front of a house on Third street, while a protracted call was being made by the driver. Becoming entirely too lonesome for one of his social nature, he took an opportunity to break the slender strap which had held him in captivity, and he sped westward toward the green fields where numerous other equines were grazing. The result was that some wagon maker will have a week's work in repairing the vehicle, a new set of harness must be made, and the horse will have to be put through the hospital before he is used.

THE wonderful 13 puzzle for sale at the Book Store for only 13 cts.
