Show An Anecdote. The story reaches us that a man in Paradise having a large "William" goat, had taken some pains in training him to hunt strangers who intruded in the yard where he was kept. One day desiring to get in the yard without going to the gate he started to crawl through a hole in the fence. The aperture was small and he got into an awkward position, being caught midway. Just then the goat espied him and thinking such an object had no right in the yard, put down his head and started with full speed toward the intruder. The master unable to extricate himself raised his head to speak to the animal just in time to receive a terrible blow in his mouth by which some of his teeth were broken out. When last heard from, the gentleman was trying to dispose of his pet bunter. |
