Show SAVE OUR FORESTS URGESMINE FIRM The people of Bingham Canyon Can-yon are urged to help in the conservation con-servation of our forests by not cutting Christmas trees in the Telegraph or Old Jordan areas in Bingham Canyon. The U. S. Smelting, Refining & Mining Co. has made arrangements through C. P. Star, district conservationist conservation-ist of the U. S. Forest Service, to secure 5000 Lodgepole pine, 2000 Ponderosa pine and 1000 Douglas fir conifers for planting in Telegraph and Old Jordan areas. The U. S. Mining Co. will also secure Lodgepole pine and Pon-derosa Pon-derosa pine seeds which will also be planted throughout this area. This seed will be obtained from Mr. Moran of the U. S. Forest service, and will come trom the Ashley forests of Utah. The a-bove a-bove planting will take place in the spring and will be supervised supervis-ed by the forest service through Mr. Starr. This area has long been noted not-ed as a haven for wild life. Therefore it is brought to the attention of all parents that this being a game preserve, firearms will not be permitted in this area. This area is posted and patrol-ed patrol-ed and with the help of the people peo-ple of Bingham may well become be-come a beautiful park. |
