Show held Wednesday morning, March 28, at 9:00 a.m. Upper Bingham Parent-Teachers Ass'n will hold a meeting Monday, March 26, at 7:00 p.m. Co-editors Rose Kawaguchi, Joe Castillo post office. We hope to make a trip to the Bingham post office. In the third grade room we are finding out how people all over the world build their homes. hom-es. We are painting pictures and making booklets about houses. Spring is here. We want our room to look fresh and pretty. We have made an Easter mural and washed our curtains and now we are getting ready to plant flowers. We have some new work books for phonics in the fourth grade. We are making a new mural called Our Earth. We are studying birds and we will make a bird frieze. At present we have an Easter frieze. Mrs. Shaw brought some pussy willows to school for us. After succumbing gulibly to the clever talking professional hobo bird, the canary flew out of his open doored cage and was off on his foot loose and fancy free way to a winter vacation in Florida. After a series of unfortunate unfor-tunate mishaps which saw the canary threatened with extermination exterm-ination by hawks, hunter, cats and the weather, the disillusioned disillusion-ed traveler returned with his oversized spouse to oust the thoroughly relaxed hobo bird from his former home. All this was part of the show enjoyed by the students of the Upper Bingham Bing-ham school Thursday, March 22. They are using spools for smokestacks. They are painting the boats red. We have been really working on reading as usual. Our writing is improving, too our teacher says. Soon we will have to take our Easter decorations down. We could keep our large paper rabbit rab-bit and basket full of pretty eKgs. But we have many things planned for April. The second grade is learning all about mailing letters and packages, different kinds of stamps and the ways of sending and receiving mail. We are writing writ-ing and reading stories about the |
