LOCAL NOTES Miss Rose Camara Was St. Patrick's Day Bride A lovely bride ot St. Patrick's 1 day, March 17, was Miss Rose Camara, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Zabala of Highland Buy, who exchanged vows with i W. Ralpft Hoover Jr., son of Mr. ! and Mrs. W. R. Hoover of Provo. 1 The double ring ceremony was solemnized in Salt Lake City by an LDS bishop. That evening a reception honored the couple at the Civic Center in Bingham. The charming bride was lovely in a model of white slipper satin styled with midriff studded with seed pearls, long sleeves and full skirt. Her finger tip veil of sheer illusion edged with lace fell from a crown of seed pearls and she carried a white Bible marked with a single white orchid and streamers. Mrs. Paul Perry, attended her sister as matron of honor. She wore a gown of light green shade. MLss Joyce Hoover, sister of the bridegroom, as bridesmaid and Mrs. George Dakia and Mrs. Karl Bodine, as attending matrons, mat-rons, wore gowns of emerald green shade. All carried nosegays nose-gays of yellow roses, green carnations car-nations and stocks. Performing duties of the best man was Herbert Grant Hoover, the groom's brother. The bride's mother greeted guests in a model of navy blue, ind the groom's sister, who received re-ceived guests in the absence of his mother who was unable to be present, was attired in aqua. Both wore orchid corsages. Upon their return from a honeymoon hon-eymoon trip to Klammath Falls, Ore., and San Francisco, the couple will make their home in Provo. The bride wore a blue suit with pink and brown accessories acces-sories for her going away outfit. Arriving home Sunday from San Diego on leave was Briggie Knudsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Knudsen. He reports to San Francisco April 7th. No. 2 Firemen's auxiliary met as guests of Mrs. La Veil Timothy Timo-thy on Monday evening. Prizes at cards were won by Mrs. John T. West, Mrs. R. R. Marriott and Mrs. Hugo Bianchi. Dainty refreshments re-freshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Woodland had at week end guests Mr. and Mrs. Ray Woodland and baby, Del Ray, of Brigham City. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Harris of Orem visited with Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Goff two days last week. Mrs. Harris is a sister of Mrs. Goff. Pinochle club met Tuesday evening as guests of Mrs. John Adamek. Mrs. Dale Johnston was an invited guest. Prizes at cards were won by Mrs. R. G. Steele, first; Miss Kay Braun, second, and Mrs. Johnston, consolation. con-solation. Refreshments were served ser-ved to nine. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Sorenson spent Wednesday visiting with their daughter, Mrs. Mary Ma-bey. Ma-bey. Word was received this week that Mrs. Laverne Spicer of Say-brook, Say-brook, Pa., mother of Mayor C. A. Morley, who fell and fractured fractur-ed her hip in January, suffered a setback and was taken to Warren War-ren General hospital at Warren, Pa. She is doing well and expects ex-pects to return to her home soon, it was reported. B. C. O. auxiliary held a regular re-gular business meeting at Holy Rosary church parish on Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. After business, bingo was enjoyed. Hostesses for the evening were Mrs. Genevieve Gen-evieve Groves and Mrs. Anna Mae Lovat. Mrs. C. A. Morley was hostess to members of her bridge club at her home on Wednesday evening. ev-ening. Mrs. Earl Evans, Mrs. J. Lynn Booth, Mrs. Max Brislt, Mrs. Helen Sullenger, Mrs. Gale Nelson and Mrs. John O'Brien of Mid vale were invited guests. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Earl T. James, first; Mi's. Boyd J. Ncrdin, t second; Mrs. Joseph P. Scussel, consolation, and Mrs. Sullenger, guest. Dainty refreshments refresh-ments were served. Don Gust, son of Mr. and Mrs. II. R. Gust, left by plane last night, Thursday, for Southern Pines, N. Car., the spring training train-ing camp for the Richmond, Ind. ball club which is affiliated with the Detroit Tigers with whom Don signed a contract last September. Sep-tember. Don is a well known local lo-cal ball player and wished the best of luck in his future ball career. Prior to his departure, Don was honored at several parties, par-ties, first of which was a farewell fare-well party given at the Copper-ton Copper-ton Methodist church last Thurs day night. Easter Sunday Don and his parents were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sturgill and family and on Monday Mon-day night they were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Gust and family of West Jordan. A family dinner' party honoring Don was enjoyed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Goodwin and son Benny of Salt Lake City last night, Thursday.
