Show 20 YERS AGO LAST JULY Mesdames Bunn and Watrous entertained en-tertained the county officials and ladiea with a card party Saturday evening. More than a dozen teams of freight arrived from Colton Saturday to supply the local trade, in addition to a nuntfer of loads for the Lakefork country, John W. Meadows has opened his store on Main street with a supply of groceries and canned goods, and Is expecting several loads In from the railroad soon. Theodore now possesses posses-ses three stores. Tercy Gardner has opened at his homestead the first store on the Blue Bench, This little beginning, caused by the inconvenience to the settlers of crossing the overflow of the Duchesne river on their road to Theodore, may result in the location of the Blue Bench town, near Gardner's Gard-ner's ranch. William Barton, Charles Bmrton, Fred Johnson, Joseph Brandenburg and Thomas Woostenhulme gave a dance at the town hall Friday evening even-ing that was numerously attended and greatly enjoyed, proving a fitting fit-ting wind-up to the annual week- of festivities at the Laramie ranch owned own-ed by the Barton brothers in Lake canyon. Theodore clllens feel quite proud that Miss Florence Jepperson, daughter daugh-ter of Samuel Jepperson whose homestead home-stead Is on the Duchesne river, near Theodore, has been so prominently mentioned in eastern papers on account ac-count of her musical abilities. Miss .TepiKTson has just graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music at Boston with high honors. County Commissioners Cummings, Daybell and Morfitt. Sheriff Wall. (County Clerk Wahlquist, County Attorney At-torney Will os, and County Treasurer Lavina Murdock, Mrs. Cifmnilngs and Mrs. Willcs were in Theodore Friday and 'Saturday. The Commissioners sat in the town hall those two days as a Board of Equalization, while the other members of the party took advantage ad-vantage of the opportunity to visit points of interest In Theodore and vicinity.
