Show turned home from Salt Lake City this week, driving a new Plymouth coach. Mrs. D. W. Bishop and small daughter, Ella Ann, spent the week-end in Salt Lake City, visiting vis-iting with Mrs. Bishop's parents. o Superintendent Chas. M. Iver-son Iver-son visited schools in Roosevelt arid Neola on Wednesday. o William Bacon;, deputy assessor asses-sor from Myton, was transacting business in Duchesne on Wednesday. Wednes-day. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Hayes and Mr. and Mrs. Rock Bear from the Avintiquin, were visiting friends in Duchesne the fore part of this weeek. o Mrs. John P. Madsen is in Provo visiting with her daughter Emily, who is attending the Brigham Young university. o Mrs. Clarence Wilson entertained entertain-ed the following guest Sunday evening: Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Merkley, Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Hal-stead, Hal-stead, Mr. and Mrs. Max Peterson. Peter-son. Mrs. Reed Cowan entertained at a bridge party Friday evening, in honor of Fawn Smith, who is. leaving this week for San Fran- Cisco, California. The following! guests were present: Mrs. Lonnle Fitzwater, Mrs. Edw. Wilkins, Er-ma Er-ma Poulsen, Veda Poulson, Elsie J Johnson, Mildred Stephenson and; Fawn Smith. High score was won I by Miss Ruth Smart; ; Fawn Smith ! week-end visiting with friends and relatives in Vernal, Utah. Clarence Wilson was transacting transact-ing business in Price on Monday. o Clair Larsen from Roosevelt was transacting business in Duchesne on Tuesday. o Those from Duchesne who are attending Leadership Week at the Brigham Young university this week are: Mrs. G. V. Billings, and Mrs. John P. Madsen. o , A very enjoyable social event of the week was the "Hankerchlef Shower" given by Mrs. Arthur Orr, in honor of Miss Fawn Smith who is leaving soon for California. The guests were: Mrs. Bernard O'Toole, Mrs. Ollie Schonian, Mrs. Minnie Pope, Mrs. Afton Crocker, Mrs. Fred Johnson, Mrs. A. M. The evening was spent in playing Bridge with Mrs. Afton Crocker winning high score.
