In Uintah county, Ashley Creek and Big Brush Creeks got the lion's share of the planting. $100,-000 $100,-000 went into Ashley Creek and its tributaries of both 2 inch and 3 to 8 inch fish, and 109,000 of the same sizes were planted in Big Brush Creek. 26,000 2 Inch fish were planted in Little Brush Creek. 4000 8 inch fish were planted in Francis Creek In Mc-Kee Mc-Kee Draw at the time of the Boy Scout encampment on Francis and 15,000 2 inch fish were planted plant-ed in Cart Creek in McKce Draw. Practically all the remainder of the Uintah county consignment went into Whiterocks River and its tributaries. The bulk of the Ashley Creek and Big Brush Creek planting were made below the Forest. It was not always possible to get the fish Into the more inaccessible inac-cessible places for which they were scheduled on account of lack of transportation facilities, and its was necessary to place them in more accessible waters. In Duchesne county the plantings plant-ings were handled largely by Game Warden Madsen and the fish and game clubs of that section. sec-tion. Also Lee Alger, who operates op-erates a summer resort at Moon Lake, did some splendid work. There were considerable numbers of fish planted in Duchesne county coun-ty from the Springville hatchery of which the Ashley Forest has no record. In Uintah county Game Warden Ed. M. Oakes did practically all of the planting. k Many Fish Planted In Uintah Basin Waters During 1932 According to the fish planting report of the Whiterocks fish hatchery for 1932, 578,000 rainbow rain-bow trout ranging in length from 2 to 8 inches were taken from the hatchery for planting In Duchesne and Uintah counties. 268,000 were for waters in Duchesne county and 310,000 for Uintah county. Practically all the plantings in Duchesne county were on the Ash. ley National Forest, or in Lake Fork, Yellowstone and Uinta rlv- er, their tributaries and lakes on the watersheds of those streams. ! In Duchesne county, 27,000, 3 to 8 inch fish were planted in Uinta river and Moon Lake; 12,-000 12,-000 2 inch fish in Clements lakes; Brown Duck Creek, Krebs Creek, Moon Lake and " Yellowstone Creeks; 5000 3 to 6 inch fish in Yellowstone Creek.
