Show some ill feeling, but it should not, because, . everybody must know that discussion brings out truth, and truth, followed to the proper ultimate, with a desire to correct abuses is the key that will solve the tax troubles as well as other matters. Let us be tolerant and considerate, and sensible with a desire to rectoify wrongs, and we will soon be on the right road to economic recovery. The Taxpayers Meeting. By L. A. Hollenbeck On Tuesday afternoon, the Du- chesne county Taxpayers' Association Associ-ation with other taxpayers of Duchesne Du-chesne county met at the court house to discuss tax matters. . It was a large meeting of taxpayers, and the resolutions were offered by the writer and fully discussed. discuss-ed. And after a full discussion the resolution with the preambles were unanimously adopted. It demanded a cut in valuations of 30 per cent, and a settlement of back taxes to 50 per cent, morei or les3, where so permitted byj law. The resolutions were address j ed to the state tax commission, county commission, and the Du-J chesne County School Board, i Some think this was to be an at- I tack primarily on the school board and the school management. It criticises the school management a little, but it is aimed at general expense nationally, and the state . . and county and school districts. And that there should be a hewing hew-ing down of expense all along the line.
